The Beatification of Bishop Vilmos Apor. Rome. St. Peter's Square. H.M.E.H. the Prince and Grand Master, Fra' Andrew Bertie, with the members of the Sovereign Council, at the solemn celebrations for the Beatification of Bishop Vilmos Apor, Conventual Chaplain of the Order, on 9 November. The proceedings for the Beatification of Bishop Apor were begun in 1947 with the nomination of a court, and concluded on 7 July 1997 in Rome, when the Holy See decreed his death as a martyr.
