LOURDES
H.M.E.H. addressed the following greeting to the pilgrims on the train
Dear Pilgrims,
Once again we have the great joy of finding ourselves on a journey to the Massabielle Grotto, to take our devotion and our hopes to Our Lady of Lourdes.
First of all, we want to thank her for the many graces and favours she has blessed us with over the past year. Let us remember the words of the Prophet Job: "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." It is in this spirit of resignation that we are asking the Blessed Virgin to accept us with our joys and pains, together with our hopes for the coming year.
When we are in Lourdes let us remember all those who used to come with us and who have now gone to their eternal reward; let us pray for the Lord to give help and courage to all those who are sick and suffering.
I wish you all a happy pilgrimage; may the Lord accept our devotion and faith and bless us in Lourdes and during the coming year.
