VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF
POLAND
Rome, 10 April 2000
The Grand Chancellor, Amb. Count Carlo Marullo di
Condojanni, received the President of the Republic
of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski and his wife on 9
April when they visited the Grand Magistry in Rome.
Also present were the wife of the Grand Chancellor,
Marchesa Ferreri dell'Anguilla, the respective
ambassadors, members of the Sovereign Council and
the Order's Foreign Secretary, Amb. Francesco
Guariglia.
During his visit the President stressed the cordial
cooperation, especially in the health sector, that
binds the Polish nation and the Sovereign Order
through the presence of members of the Order's
Polish Association, Ambulance Corps and
international bodies. The Grand Chancellor, in turn
hoped for even closer ties of friendship and renewed
efforts in the road towards "a greater peace,
greater fraternity and greater wellbeing among all
people on the earth". Bilateral negotiations for
cooperation in the health sector will certainly
follow this propitious meeting.
