Charged by His Most Eminent Highness the Prince and Grand Master Fra’ Andrew Bertie, the Grand Chancellor, Carlo Marullo di Condojanni, has sent today to the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Holy See, James Nicholson, a letter with a message of solidarity to the President of the United States, George W. Bush.

“In this dramatic moment in American life, with the succession of attacks which caused so many innocent victims, shocking America, as well as all civil consciences all over the world, I wish to express my sentiments of deepest sorrow and solidarity.

In the certainty that the noble American People will be able to find, in the high values which always inspired them, the strength to face the situation, I beg you to accept, Mr. President, the expression of my highest consideration”
