HUNDRED PLUS PROJECTS OF THE HOLY FATHER

Your Excellency,
Since the initiative of the Pontifical Council "Cor Unum", undertaken in connection with the Year of Charity 1999, has had such a positive response, the title has been changed to "HUNDRED PLUS PROJECTS OF THE HOLY FATHER". The responses far exceeded our expectations and thus the number of projects will surpass the original target of hundred.
It is a great pleasure and honour to inform you that the following projects, proposed for consideration by your organisation, have been selected for inclusion in the "HUNDRED PLUS PROJECTS OF THE HOLY FATHER".

• Basic Health Care Center in Kerala India
• Project Crudem in Milot, Haiti
• Holy Family Maternity Hospital in Bethlehem, Palestine

While all the project proposals were worthy of selection, regrettably not all submitted could be included. A sincere attempt has been made, in a difficult selection process, to respond to the needs of people living in corporal or spiritual poverty, while at the same time considering distribution of the awards according to diocese, country, geographic region as well as agency/organisation participation.
I take this opportunity to extend to you the assurances of my continued consideration along with my heartfelt wishes for a Blessed Christmas Season and a New Year filled with the joys of Our Lord.
